Meeting Readers

Hi folks! First up is my wish that you all have a happy Thanksgiving.

Even though I was a pure, unfiltered Christmas hound as a kid, the truth is that my favorite holiday was Thanksgiving. My mother’s family would congregate at our house and eat my mother’s phenomenal cooking. Then my uncles would all proceed to take a nap in whatever chair was available. As a kid, I found that puzzling. As a middle aged man, I understand the zen of naps perfectly.

The point of this post, however, is the visit of two of my readers yesterday. They live about 30 minutes south of here, and stopped by on the way home from some appointments in Olympia. Of course, the first subject of conversation was in the realm of “Where the heck is Decay?” I regard that as a perfectly valid question, considering the amount of time that has gone by since Renewal was published. Feel free to nag me for the answers. For a variety of reasons, I’m not about to explain the delays here, but I am happy to explain offline.

In the meantime, I just want to say how much I got from the visit, and from the conversation. What you, my readers, think, it matters to me. There are many aspects of the story that are sacred to me, and not subject to change, but there are others that are entirely subject to your thoughts, and that feedback counts. Just so ya know…
